FAQ

Questions women ask before getting started with
online strength coaching.

If you are curious about the program but still have questions, you are in the right place. These are the most common things women want to understand before booking a discovery call. No question is too basic. No concern is too complicated.

Most of these questions come from the same place: wanting to feel stronger but not yet being sure that it is safe, realistic, or actually possible for a body like yours. These answers are for that person.

There are no wrong questions here. The women who ask the most specific ones are usually the ones who are thinking most seriously about starting.

Getting Started

Reduces the fear of being underqualified, behind, or starting from too far back.

No. Many women begin with little or no previous strength training. The program starts with your real starting point, not with assumptions about what you should already know or be able to do. Whatever your starting point, the program is built to meet you there.

Many women join after a long gap in movement. It is one of the most common starting points in this program. The coaching is designed to meet you where you are now and build gradually and safely from there.

No. Building strength is valuable at any age when the coaching is thoughtful, progressive, and adapted to the individual. Many of Heidi's clients began in their sixties, seventies, and eighties.

Nervousness before reaching out is one of the most common feelings women bring to their first discovery call. You do not need to feel ready or confident before reaching out. The call exists to answer your questions and help you decide whether this feels right, not to pressure you into a decision.

Most programs that have not worked were not built for this stage of life, this body history, or this level of individual attention. If previous programs felt generic, too fast, unsafe, or simply not made for you, that experience makes complete sense. This is structurally different because it starts with your body specifically. Not a version of you. Not a general population. You.

Safety and Health History

The most important category on the page. Addresses the fears this audience carries most deeply.

Yes. When strength training is structured progressively and adapted to the individual body, it is one of the most effective tools for maintaining bone density, balance, mobility, and independence as we age. The key is not pushing harder. It is training in a way that genuinely fits your body.

Strength training is one of the most evidence-supported approaches for managing osteoporosis. It builds bone density and muscle strength, both of which reduce fracture risk. Heidi has been coaching women with osteoporosis for years and adapts the program accordingly. Mary and Clayt's story is a specific example of what this looks like in practice.

Surgery history is part of every program decision, not something to work around silently. Heidi uses your intake and live coaching sessions to adapt movements to what your body needs at each stage of recovery and beyond. Sandra's experience preparing for and recovering from knee replacement surgery is a specific example.

Your health history shapes the coaching rather than limiting it. Heidi works alongside your existing healthcare team where relevant and adapts every session to what your body needs that day. A complex history is not something to apologise for or negate. It is the foundation the coaching is built on.

It is adapted immediately, in that session, without judgment. You will never be told to push through it. This is the Find Another Way Guarantee™ and it applies to every session, every phase, for as long as you train here.

Yes. Heidi has experience coaching women with a range of neurological conditions and adapts movements accordingly. The discovery call is the right place to discuss your specific situation in detail.

Yes. Pre-surgical strength training reduces healing time and supports better post-surgical mobility by strengthening the areas that carry additional load while the surgical area recovers. Heidi works alongside your medical team throughout. Sandra's story is a specific example of what this looks like in practice.

How Sessions Work

Reduces uncertainty about the actual experience of participating.

Sessions are coached live on Zoom. Heidi is present throughout every session, watching how each woman moves and offering real-time guidance and adaptation. This is not a video library or a follow-along class.

Groups are intentionally small, with four to five women, so coaching can stay personal and attentive throughout every session.

Twice weekly is the minimum commitment across all coaching models. A third session per week is available for clients who want to progress more quickly.

No. This is not about matching someone else's pace, capacity, or history. Each woman works through her own version of the program. The goal is to help you build strength from your own real starting point, not to perform for the group.

No gym and no specialized equipment is required to begin. Most women train at home with minimal equipment. What you need specifically is confirmed during your intake process based on your program and your space.

Getting you comfortable with the technology is part of the onboarding process. Most women feel at ease within their first session. If you have concerns about the setup, bring them to your discovery call and Heidi will walk you through exactly what to expect.

Every week you receive a short check-in form. This is your direct line to Heidi between sessions. Share a win, flag a concern, ask a question. Heidi responds to every one personally. You also have access to reference resources for every movement in your program so you can study and practise between sessions at your own pace.

Program Fit

Helps visitors self-qualify quickly and confidently.

The program is designed for retired professional women who want to build strength, steadiness, and confidence with expert guidance and thoughtful adaptation. Women who want a program that works with their actual body and history rather than asking them to keep up with a generic template.

This program is not the right fit if your primary goal is rapid aesthetic transformation or dramatic weight loss on a short timeline. It is also not suited to women looking for a high-intensity bootcamp, a one-size-fits-all workout program with no live coaching, or the most affordable option available. This program is built for women who want a thoughtful, progressive, long-term coaching relationship. If you are still unsure whether you fit, the discovery call is the right place to find out. Heidi will tell you honestly either way.

The results this program consistently produces are functional: improved balance, better range of motion, less stiffness in daily movement, more energy through the day, and greater confidence in everyday tasks. Most clients notice something within the first two to four weeks, often the quieter things first: better sleep, slightly less stiffness, a movement that felt hard becoming more manageable. Meaningful functional progress typically builds through weeks four to eight. What it does not promise is rapid aesthetic transformation or dramatic weight loss. Want to see what these results look like in practice? Read client stories.

Yes. Balance training is built into every phase of the program. Falls are one of the leading causes of loss of independence for women over 60, and balance responds measurably to targeted strength and movement training. Improved balance is one of the most consistently reported outcomes from clients in this program.

A self-directed coaching model is currently in development and will be available in a future phase. The current program is delivered in semi-private and one-on-one coaching models.

Investment and Guarantees

Transparency builds trust. Answers the questions most coaching websites avoid.

Most coaching websites do not list their pricing. We do, because you deserve to know what you are considering before you invest time in a conversation. The exact investment depends on the coaching model and session frequency you choose, so we can only provide a range at this stage. We figured a range is more useful than silence. Semi-private coaching ranges from $1,597 to $2,197 CAD for the full 12-week Foundation Program, depending on session frequency. One-on-one coaching ranges from $2,397 to $3,297 CAD for the full 12 weeks, depending on session frequency. Payment in full or three monthly payments available. The self-directed model is in development and pricing will be available at launch. After the Foundation Program, Continuity Coaching is billed bi-weekly and ranges from $220 to $500 CAD depending on coaching model and session frequency. All pricing in Canadian dollars. Exact investment confirmed at discovery call. See full program details and coaching models.

Because they are not the same thing. A gym membership gives you access to equipment. A fitness app gives you prerecorded workouts. Neither one knows your history. Neither one sees that your left shoulder compensates for your right. Neither one adapts in real time to how your body is moving today. Personalized live coaching with a specialist in adapted movement for this stage of life is a fundamentally different service. Heidi's clients stay for an average of eight years. Most coaching and fitness programs see clients leave within months. That number reflects the value of what they are receiving.

The Foundation Program is a 12-week commitment. After that, clients who choose to continue move into The Independent Body™ Continuity Coaching on a bi-weekly billing structure. The details of how that works are covered in your enrollment conversation.

There are three. The Find Another Way Guarantee™: If any movement causes pain in a session, it is adapted immediately, in that session, without judgment. Every time, without exception. Available for all coaching models. The 8-Week Capability Guarantee: Available to Semi-Private and One-on-One clients. If you attend the majority of your scheduled sessions, complete your weekly check-in forms, and engage genuinely with the program, but have not become measurably stronger or more capable by week eight, the program extends at no additional cost until measurable progress is documented toward your named Capability Milestone. The 30-Day Trust Guarantee: Available to Semi-Private and One-on-One clients. If after 30 days you genuinely feel the program is not safe, structured, and designed with your specific body in mind, you qualify for this guarantee, provided you have attended a minimum of six of your first eight sessions and completed at least half of your weekly check-in forms. If you qualify, you are not charged for the weeks you have not yet used, whether that means no further payments are withdrawn or a refund of what has already been paid. The amount is calculated at your program's per-week rate, minus a one-time $100 administrative and onboarding fee. For an easy math example: on a 12-week, $1,200 program, five completed weeks would leave $700 remaining, or $600 after the fee. Full guarantee details.

Discovery Call and Next Steps

Reduces the last barrier before action by making the process feel clear and safe.

It is a relaxed 30-minute conversation with Heidi. You complete a short health history form beforehand so she arrives already familiar with your situation. You share where you are, what you are hoping for, and what questions you have been carrying. Heidi listens and gives you an honest answer about whether this is the right fit. If you decide to move forward on the call, she extends the time to complete your full intake together. There is no pressure and no obligation.

No. The purpose of the call is clarity, not commitment. You leave knowing exactly what working together looks like and whether it makes sense for where you are right now. The decision is always yours, in your own time.

You complete a comprehensive intake form covering your movement history, current limitations, and goals. Heidi uses this to generate your Personal Movement Blueprint before your first session. She also works with you to define your 8-Week Capability Milestone: a specific, real-world functional goal that matters to your daily life. Nothing about you is new information when you arrive for your first session.

That is completely fine. You do not need to make a decision during or immediately after the call. Heidi will answer any follow-up questions you have and give you the space to decide in your own time.

Still have a question not answered here? Bring it to the discovery call. There are no wrong questions and no pressure to commit.
